Winter Wishlist of my Dreams

Happy Decemberrrrr! As it doesn't necessarily feel like a holiday season to me, I hope I can fix that with a few Christmas movies and a visit to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. I might have passed that tree a few times but almost been trampled my tourist so hopefully this weekend is the when I will be able to let it sink in that it's actually December. Anyways, the reason for this post is to give myself a short moment where I can envision being able to obtain all the items on my wishlist; along with me being able to forget that I will be a broke college student in the next 10 months. Some of these items I already have in my possession, some items I wish to have more of, and others are so ridiculously priced to where I can only enjoy them through my dreams.

1. TALINA - DRIE + TUGELA

The first item on my list is one that I already have in my possession, which is TALINA jewelry. If I could I would buy the entire shop but as of now these are the two earrings that I have been drooling over. Ever since I have decked my ears out in piercings I have found a love for fun and overdramatic earrings. As someone who loves all colors but always drifts towards pulling black out her closet, these earring always add colors to outfits that I don't know how to add color too.

2. LOEWE - Stripped Scarf Mohair

Mohair is something that I aspire to have in my closet in the near future. I was first introduced to this Mohair scarf on from the brand LOEWE through instagram and fell in love with it. Due to it being a hefty $270 I can only dream of it being in my possession and cross my fingers that it goes on sale in the near future.

3. Jackets

To stay in the realm of fall/winter attire, jackets are something I love but never take the time out to actually look for. I am KEEN on finding an afghan jacket or a baggy leather jacket whenever I go to the thrift store, since I am not familiar with specifics brands that sell either one of these that are sold for a reasonable price and are designed in a way that make me want to spend my life savings.

4. NIKE AirMore Untempo

The more I shop for shoes (specifically sneakers) I realize more and more that I am a white sneaker girl. Along with the sneakers above, the black ones with pink trimming has also been on my wanted list until a few minutes ago when I just saw them and realized these white ones are my match. For the past year I have been trying to get my hands on these shoes and my size is either unavailable or a reseller is selling them for a higher price than they should be sold. Whenever these shoes stop running away from me, I'm ready to wear them everywhere I go.

5. MONKI - Oversized Denim Dungearee

I want to be a child again and the only way to make this possible is to have overalls in my closet. Overalls is a clothing item that I have searched everywhere for but have never been able to find the right fit. I saw the oversized overalls by the brand Monki and was going to buy them immediately until I found out they didn't ship to the US. :(

6. La Manso

Another jewelry brand I'd LOVE to own the entire shop is La Monso. I've always wanted one of their rings especially the one shown above. Until recently when scrolling on TikTok I learned that they are now selling earrings, which I also adore since it's subtle but is still somewhat over the top with its design. These have been on my wishlist for the longest but I still haven't come to the point where I'm ready to splurge on them.

7. Crochet blanket & knit sweater

I couldn't construct this list without adding a item that I hope to crochet/ knit before 2021 ends. I have already started a blanket similar to the one on the left as a gift but by the way school is looking it will probably be done in February. With that said, I guess I hope by putting that I want some sort of magic to come upon me that helps me finish this blanket in 2 weeks. Now onto the right side, yet another mohair item. I'm really exited to knit a sweater like this (whenever that is) but literally everywhere I look to buy mohair yarn the price makes me run in the other direction. Hopefully (in the span of 3 weeks) I will suck it up and buy the yarn and knit the mohair sweater of my dreams with my beginner knitter skills.

8. Books

Last but not least, to end off my wishlist are the two books I hope make their way to my bookshelf. First is In The Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado whose book I was introduced to from watching a book-tuber by the name of Cindy. I am intrigued to read a dark memoir such as this one that revolves around the horrors of an abusive same-sex relation, but is told as a horror fiction. The novel Misery by Stephen King is one out of the money novels I want to read by King but for some reason I am scared to. From reading the synopsis of this book all I took in was that it dealt with torture and make me curious enough to want to go blind into the book.

Well you have finally reached the end. For some reason its always harder to know what you want when you see it but when you have to actually compose a list of items that you want, somehow everything that you once wanted disappears from your mind. I'm sure there are millions of other things I want that aren't on this list but off the top of my head these are the items that continuously make an appearance in my daily life. Hopefully you enjoyed.
